We start at the top with ceiling corners, vents, fans and light fixtures, then windows and sills, walls and doors, and finally the floors, so anything that falls lands where we have not cleaned yet. Cabinets and closets are cleared of dust before their outsides get wiped, which stops the crew from carrying grime back into rooms they already finished.
Kitchens and bathrooms take the most care. The oven, range and refrigerator are cleaned inside and out, sinks and counters are scrubbed, and bathroom tile, tub, toilet and glass are done one room at a time.
